For Mandi + Abi…

I’m dedicating the blog this week to Mandi and Abi, two identical twin sisters. You might have noticed their really sweet maternity session I shared last week. Both expected to have a baby just 3 weeks apart. An unexpected, tragic death of Mandi has left us all devastated and heartbroken for this family. I pray my friend, Abi, can find peace and the ability to cope with the loss of her sister and best friend. I realize these images are going to be hard to look at for a really long time, but I hope in time and healing, they will be more than cherished treasures.

We love you both dearly. Rest in peace, Mandi.

May she rest in peace. Mandi will always be remembered for her beauty inside and out. These photos are a testament to that and to the bond that these two sisters shared – a bond deeper than many of us will ever know.

  2. I didn’t know Mandi, but I am a friend of her sister-in-law Jessica.

This maternity shoot is absolutely beautiful and I am so glad these moments were captured, as they can never be replaced. The bond between sisters is evident here and it’s a beautiful testament of love on earth.

The family is in my prayers and I am so sorry for everyone who has been affected by this tragic loss. Mandi is now experiencing the greatest love of all, in heaven. Rest in peace, Mandi.

I am very sorry for your loss. These girls were not only beautiful but were always in a great mood. I know the feeling of losing a child but couldn’t imagine losing my twin, let alone best friend. The pictures are great. It takes time to look at them without letting out tears. But it also helps to heal the hurt and pain. I pray for the friends and family. And I know for a fact there will be plenty around for the love and support needed.

This photo shoot is absolutely beautiful. It is a hidden blessing that you were able to capture a few of the last sentimental and sweet moments between Abi and Mandi. Life is unexpected and Mandi touched so many lives in a positive way. God obviously has big plans for her…

I taught Mandi and Abi in third grade and knew them until they moved from Minster. In 34 years of teaching I have never met twins who were always as close as these two girls. I am so sorry for the family’s loss and pray that time and wonderful memories will heal.

Hard to tell them apart; they were kindred spirits right down to their knee caps. We have to trust that God has a purpose in this plan. I know Mandi is an angel in heaven now with her sweet, baby girl. I pray that Abi finds purpose in this tragedy to glorify God, her sister and her remaining life on this earth. Our time here is so brief. May we all honor this short journey the best we know how as we face the triumphs and tragedies along the way.

I am a friend of Mandi’s and find comfort in the happiness I see in these pictures. My prayers are with Abi and her family as well as with Mandi’s husband Leighton. They are constantly on my mind and in my heart. The world is a lesser place but heaven gained two amazing angels in Mandi and A.J.
