I love me a wintery engagement! 🙂 Apparently this year Santa thought I was pretty good. So there it was nestled under the tree – a Contax 645 film camera! I’ve been really anxious + excited to add this medium into my work. I haven’t touched film since college, and it’s fun to get back into the fundamentals and the basics of the art. However, it’s gonna take me some time to get used to not having the quick and instant gratification you get with digital.
Over the years, I’ve read Film is Not Dead… like 5 times. Jonathan Canlas, the talented photographer and author, mentioned that practicing on your clients is not something you want to do. Welllll, I think my clients are different. 😉 So I asked Natalie + Zach if they were okay with this, and there was no hesitation behind their yes’s. Good thing the photos actually turned out! 😉
And what a perfect couple to have a little fun at a Christmas tree farm with! Really makes you enjoy a dreary winter day, yeah?!
